Από την ενεργοποίηση της πολεμικής μηχανής και την πριμοδότηση του πατριωτισμού ως «υγιούς ιδεολογίας» από την κυβερνώσα αριστερά, μέχρι τα θλιβερά καρναβάλια μίσους για τη Μακεδονία, τις ιαχές για το Αιγαίο και την προάσπιση των «εθνικών συμφερόντων», ο εθνικός παροξυσμός μαζί με έναν διάχυτο δημόσιο λόγο εθνικισμού, ρατσισμού, μιλιταρισμού, επιχειρεί να μας πνίξει.
Εθνικιστικά συλλαλητήρια και μεθοδευμένες μαθητικές κινητοποιήσεις για το «Μακεδονικό», πολεμικές απειλές στο Αιγαίο από ανώτατα στελέχη και την πολιτική ηγεσία του ελληνικού στρατού, στρατιωτικές ασκήσεις και πολεμική ετοιμότητα για τις ΑΟΖ, εμετικά κηρύγματα μίσους από παπάδες και απόστρατους αξιωματικούς, μισαλλόδοξα συνθήματα από αλλόφρονες αγέλες και λοβοτομημένους πατριώτες χειροκροτητές, ρατσιστικά ξεσπάσματα μέχρι και δολοφονία του αλβανικής καταγωγής εργάτη γης Petrit Zifle στο χωριό Δραγωνιτά στη Λευκίμμη Κέρκυρας από τον χρυσαυγίτη Δημήτρη Κουρή, θεσμική και μιντιακή ηρωοποίηση του φασίστα Κατσίφα. Όλα αυτά αποτελούν δείγματα μιας ζοφερής πραγματικότητας που διαμορφώνεται και τροφοδοτείται για να καλλιεργείται η εθνική ενότητα. Για να μπορούν οι κυρίαρχοι να συνεχίζουν αδιάκοπα τα σχέδιά τους για περαιτέρω λεηλασία και καταπίεση. Το κόλπο είναι γνωστό και δοκιμασμένο ιστορικά: συστρατευτείτε απέναντι σε «εθνικούς εχθρούς» και ξεχάστε τα αφεντικά, τις τράπεζες, τα υπουργεία, την ταξική/ρατσιστική/σεξιστική καταπίεση.
Σε αυτήν την ασφυξία των εθνικών ιδεωδών, η κυβέρνηση της πατριωτικής αριστεράς του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ (μέχρι πρότινος και για 4 χρόνια μαζί με την εθνικιστική δεξιά των ΑΝΕΛ) ενισχύει θεσμικά τον εθνικισμό, οξύνει τους εθνοκρατικούς ανταγωνισμούς στην ευρύτερη περιοχή της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου και των Βαλκανίων, μετατρέπει ολόκληρη την ελληνική επικράτεια σε μία πολεμική βάση. Εξάλλου, η εθνική ενότητα, είναι προϋπόθεση μιας πολεμικής προετοιμασίας που εδώ και καιρό δρομολογείται, με: περαιτέρω αύξηση του διαχρονικά διογκωμένου προϋπολογισμού των ενόπλων δυνάμεων (3,32 δισ. ευρώ για το 2019), μεγάλες διεθνείς στρατιωτικές ασκήσεις συνεκπαίδευσης στην ελληνική επικράτεια με “συμμαχικά” στρατεύματα (όπως αυτά των στρατοκρατούμενων καθεστώτων Ισραήλ, Αιγύπτου και των “φίλων – φονιάδων των λαών” Η.Π.Α.), δαπανηρές αναβαθμίσεις των F-16 και παραγγελίες νέων φρεγατών για το πολεμικό ναυτικό, εντατικότερη στρατιωτικοποίηση για τις ΑΟΖ σε Αιγαίο και Κύπρο και διασφάλιση εμπορικών συμφωνιών με ενεργειακούς κολοσσούς. Και η λίστα δε σταματάει εκεί. Παραχώρηση της αεροπορικής βάσης στη Λάρισα για τα ΝΑΤΟϊκά drones, προετοιμασία των εγκαταστάσεων αποθήκευσης πυρηνικών στη βάση της Ανδραβίδας, στάθμευση μαχητικών αεροσκαφών και πολεμικών ελικοπτέρων στις βάσεις του Ακτίου και του Στεφανοβικείου, ενεργοποίηση του στρατιωτικού αεροδρομίου στο Τυμπάκι της Κρήτης για την εξυπηρέτηση της ευρωπαϊκής συνοριοφυλακής – Frontex, ενίσχυση των πολεμικών διαδικασιών στη βάση της Σούδας κ.ά. Παράλληλα, η διακρατική διευθέτηση του «μακεδονικού» επιχειρεί να προωθήσει τους στρατηγικούς σχεδιασμούς του ΝΑΤΟ και να καταστήσει το ελληνικό κράτος «ηγέτιδα δύναμη των Βαλκανίων», όπως με στόμφο διατυπώνουν οι… αντι-ιμπεριαλιστές διεθνιστές της κυβερνώσας αριστεράς.
Μέσα σε αυτή την εθνικιστική και μιλιταριστική πραγματικότητα, ο ελληνικός στρατός, με απόφαση αριστερής κυβέρνησης, αναλαμβάνει για πρώτη φορά μετά τη χούντα του ‘67 την πολιτική ηγεσία του ΥΠΕΘΑ, μέσω της υπουργοποίησης του αρχηγού ΓΕΕΘΑ Βαγγέλη Αποστολάκη αμέσως μετά την παραίτηση Καμμένου. Μίας αριστερής κυβέρνησης που επιχειρεί εντέχνως από τα κυβερνητικά επιτελεία να παρουσιάσει τον στρατιωτικό μηχανισμό ως «κοινωνικό αρωγό» και «προστάτη». Από τα θεαματικά ρεπορτάζ για τη «διάσωση» προσφύγων στο Αιγαίο μέχρι τη συμμετοχή του στην αντιμετώπιση της μόλυνσης του Σαρωνικού και των πρόσφατων πυρκαγιών στην Αττική. Από τις μπουλντόζες με τις ερπύστριες που ανοίγουν δρόμους στα απομακρυσμένα νησιά μέχρι τη συμβολή της στρατιωτικής μηχανής στις ανεγέρσεις σχολείων (για οικογένειες στρατιωτικών) και σε προγράμματα ανακύκλωσης, η συγκυβέρνηση -με τη συμβολή όλων των κομμάτων και θεσμών- παλεύει να ωραιοποιήσει και να κανονικοποιήσει τον στρατό στις συνειδήσεις των «από κάτω». Μέσα στο ίδιο πλαίσιο επιχειρείται παράλληλα να παρουσιαστεί η θητεία ως μια «ωφέλιμη περίοδος για τη νεολαία», ακόμα και αν οι συχνές αυτοκτονίες φαντάρων στα έγκατα της στρατιωτικής μηχανής και του στυγνού πειθαναγκασμού συνεχίζουν να διαψεύδουν τις φανταχτερές αυτές διακηρύξεις. Πρόκειται για μία σχεδιασμένη επιχείρηση ξεπλύματος του ελληνικού στρατού και του πρωταγωνιστικού ρόλου που έχει επιτελέσει στην επιβολή στρατοκρατικών καθεστώτων (π.χ. χούντα 67, δικτατορία Μεταξά ‘36), την καταστολή ιστορικών κοινωνικών εξεγέρσεων (π.χ. Λαύριο, Κιλελέρ, Θεσσαλονίκη, Πολυτεχνείο) καθώς και της συμβολής του στα πολεμικά μέτωπα και τις επιθέσεις της δύσης σε χώρες της Ασίας, της Αφρικής ή των Βαλκανίων (π.χ. Κορέα, Αφγανιστάν, Λιβύη, Γιουγκοσλαβία). Στην παρούσα συνθήκη, ο ελληνικός στρατός αποτελεί τον κεντρικό διαχειριστή της καταστολής προσφύγων/μεταναστ(ρι)ών και εν γένει της αντιμεταναστευτικής πολιτικής (και των παχυλών κονδυλίων της με εκατομμύρια ευρώ στη διάθεση του ΥΠΕΘΑ). Οργανώνει την αορατοποίηση των προσφύγων/μεταναστ(ρι)ών έχοντας διαμορφώσει και μονιμοποιήσει μια σειρά στρατοπέδων σε τόπους εξαίρεσης-εκτοπισμού όσων οι ζωές ορίζονται ως «περιττές». Στρατιωτικοποιεί τα θαλάσσια σύνορα μαζί με το ΝΑΤΟ και τον FRONTEX δολοφονώντας ή εξαναγκάζοντας τους/τις μετανάστ(ρι)ες σε θάνατο στα επικίνδυνα περάσματα του Έβρου ή στον βυθό του Αιγαίου. Εντείνει τις απελάσεις και διευθύνει ένα καθεστώς ομηρίας, εγκλεισμού και κοινωνικού αποκλεισμού εκατοντάδων χιλιάδων ανθρώπων. Όσο και να παρουσιάζεται ως «προστάτης» της κοινωνίας, ο στρατός δεν αποτελεί παρά τη φονική μηχανή πολέμου και καταστολής εκ μέρους κράτους και αφεντικών.
Μέσα σε αυτή τη συγκυρία επίκλησης της εθνικής ενότητας και επίτασης των πολεμικών ιαχών, το ελληνικό κράτος και ο στρατός δεν θα μπορούσαν παρά να συνεχίσουν απρόσκοπτα και εντατικότερα την καταστολή όσων δεν καταπίνουν το χάπι της εθνικής αποβλάκωσης, όσων αρνούνται τα εθνικά καλέσματα για «συστράτευση», όσων αρνούνται να υποταχθούν στον χακί εκβιασμό της εξουσίας. Οι ολικοί αρνητές στράτευσης, βρίσκονται διαρκώς στο στόχαστρο της καταστολής καθώς αμφισβητούν έθνη, κράτη και στρατούς, ακυρώνουν στην πράξη με τις αρνήσεις τους τον μιλιταρισμό και τη στρατοπεδική ζωή, υπονομεύουν τους διαχωρισμούς και τα δίπολα, εχθρευόμενοι τόσο τον πόλεμο όσο και την ειρήνη των κυρίαρχων αυτού του κόσμου. Και ακριβώς γι’ αυτήν την κοινωνικά ορατή επιλογή τους μέσα σε αυτή τη συγκυρία οξύνεται η εκδικητικότητα του στρατού: με πολλαπλές διώξεις σε στρατοδικεία (που δεν τα αναγνωρίζουν), με απανωτά πρόστιμα των 6.000 ευρώ (που αρνούνται να πληρώσουν), με καθημερινές αναζητήσεις από τις αρχές στις κατοικίες τους, με μια διαρκή απειλή για καταδίκες και κατασχέσεις.
Η εκδικητική και παραδειγματική στρατιωτική καταστολή των ολικών αρνητών στράτευσης συνεχίζεται με μια φάμπρικα διώξεων από το στρατοδικείο του Ρουφ, όπου στις 6 Φεβρουαρίου 2019 δικάζονται δύο ολικοί αρνητές στράτευσης, ο Κωνσταντίνος Γουνιτσιώτης και ο Στράτος Μωυσής, ενώ στις 18 Φεβρουαρίου 2019 δικάζεται ο ολικός αρνητής στράτευσης Παύλος Χριστόπουλος. Στις απανωτές διώξεις, στα πρόστιμα και τις απειλές, στεκόμαστε αλληλέγγυες και αλληλέγγυοι στους ολικούς αρνητές. Κανένας και καμία μόνος/η μπροστά στις ορέξεις του κράτους και των στρατοκρατών, για έναν κόσμο αλληλεγγύης, ελευθερίας, αυτοοργάνωσης, κοινοκτημοσύνης, χωρίς έθνη, κράτη, στρατούς και επίπλαστους διαχωρισμούς.

NO NATION UNITES US,
NO ARMY SUBJUGATES US
From the motivation of the war machine and the boosting of patriotism by the governing left as a “healthy ideology”, up to the pathetic carnivals of hate for Macedonia, the war cries for the Aegean sea and the defending of the “national interests”, national frenzy is trying to choke us along with wide spread public speech of nationalism, racism, militarism.
Nationalistic rallies and organized student mobilizations about the “Macedonian issue”, war threats on the Aegean sea by supreme military officers and the political leadership of the greek army, military exercises and war preparedness for the EEZs, disgusting hate preaching by priests and retired military officers, bigot slogans by insane herds and lobotomized clapping patriots, racist outbursts up to the murder of the albanian origined field worker Petrit Zifle in Dragonita village of Lefkimmi (Corfu Island) by the golden-dawner Dimitris Kouris, institutional and media heroizing of fascist Katsifas. All these comprise of samples of a dark reality that is being shaped and catered so that national unity is cultivated. So that the dominant ones may constantly continue their plans for evermore plunder and repression. The trick is familiar and historically tested: enlist yourselves against “national enemies” and forget about the bosses, the banks, the ministries, the class/racial/sexist repression.
In this asphyxiation by national ideals, the government of the patriotic left of SYRIZA (until recently and for 4 years along with the nationalistic right of ANEL) is institutionally enforcing nationalism, sharpening nation-state antagonisms in the broader region of Eastern Mediterranean Sea and the Balkans, converting the whole greek territory into a war base. Besides, national unity is the prerequisite of a war preparation that is being conducted for a while with: furthermore increase of the constantly enlarged budget of the armed forces (3,32 billion euros for 2019), large international military exercises of co-training with “allied” troops at the greek territory (like those of the military regimes of Israel, Egypt and that of the “friends – killers of the people” USA), costly upgrades of F-16 aircraft and orders of new frigate war ships for the navy, more intensive militarization for the EEZs at the Aegean Sea and at Cyprus, safeguarding of commercial agreements with large energy companies. And the list does not end there. Concession of the airport base in Larisa for the NATO drones, preparation of nuclear depositing infrastructures on the Andravida base, parking of fighting aircraft and helicopters at the bases of Aktio and Stephanovikio, motivation of the military airport at Timpaki of Crete for serving the european coast-yard – Frontex, enforcement of war procedures at the base of Souda etc. In parallel, the interstate settlement of the “macedonian issue” is trying to promote the strategic plans of NATO and to set the greek state as the “leading power of Balkans”, as it is being loudly expressed by the … anti-imperialists internationalists of the governing left.
Through this nationalistic and militaristic reality, the greek army, with a left government decision, is taking the political leadership of the Ministry of Defense for the first time after the military coup of 1967, through the appointing of the leader of the National Defense General Staff Vangelis Apostolakis as Minister of Defense, right after the resign of the extreme right wing minister Kammenos. The left government is skillfully trying through the governing committees to present the military mechanism as a “social reliever” and “protector”. From the spectacular reports about the “rescuing” of refugees at the Aegean Sea, up to its participation for the handling of the pollution of Saronikos sea and of the fires in Attica lands. From the tank bulldozers that construct roads to farther islands up to the contribution of the military machine in school building projects (for military officers families) and in recycling projects, the co-government -with the contribution of all parties and institutions- is struggling to beautify and normalize the army into the consciousnesses of “those below”. In the same context, the military service is presented as a “beneficial period for the youth”, even if the frequent suicides of soldiers at the bowels of the military machine and of the brutal coercing are continuing to disprove all these fancy declarations. This is about a planned operation of washing out the greek army and the first role it has played in forcing military regimes (military coup ‘67, dictatorship of Metaxas ‘36), in repressing historical social revolts (Lavrio, Kileler, Thessaloniki, Polytechnic University) as well as its contribution to the war fronts and the attacks of the west on Asian, African and Balkan countries (Korea, Afghanistan, Libya, Yugoslavia). Today, the greek army comprises of the central manager of repression of refugees/migrants and in general of the anti-migration policy (and of the large funds of millions of euros at the disposal of the Ministry of Defense). It organizes the invisibilization of refugees/migrants, having formed and established several military camps as lands of exclusion-displacement of all those whose lives are defined as “redundant”. It militarizes the sea borders along with NATO and FRONTEX, murdering migrants or forcing them to death at the dangerous crossings of Evros or at the bottom of the Aegean Sea. It intensifies the deportations and manages a hostage, imprisoning and social-excluding system of hundreds of thousands of people. No matter how much it presents itself as a “protector” of society, the army is nothing but a killing machine of war and repression on behalf of the state and the bosses.
In this circumstance of national unity invocation and of heightening war cries, the greek state and the army could not do else that continuing more intensively and unrestrained the repression of those who deny to swallow the pill of national numbing, those who deny the national callings for “enlisting”, those who deny to submit to the army green extortion of authority. Total army objectors are constantly targeted for repression as they question nations, states and armies, actively cancel with their denials militarism and military camp life, undermine divisions and binaries, hating both the war and the peace of the dominants of this world. And exactly because of this socially visible choice of theirs during such a circumstance, the vengeance of the army is sharpening against them: with multiple prosecutions to military courts (which they do not recognize), with back to back fines of 6.000 euros (which they deny paying), with everyday scouting at their homes by the authorities, with a constant threat for convictions and foreclosures.
The vengeful and exemplary military repression of total army objectors keeps going with a factory of persecutions from the military court of Rouf (Athens), where two total army objectors are prosecuted (February 6), Konstantinos Gounitsiotis and Stratos Moisis, while on February the 18th total army objector Pavlos Christopoulos is prosecuted. Towards the back to back prosecutions, fines and threats, we stand in solidarity with total objectors. No one shall be alone in front of the moods of state and militarists, for a world of solidarity, freedom, self-organization, sharing, without nations, states, armies and false divisions.
